La Maison Tranquille
La Maison Tranquille a Pyrénées Chambre d'hote is perfectly situated for touring this beautiful part of the Pyrenees. The ski slopes at the popular La Mongie resort are only sixteen miles away and it is only a forty mile trip through the tunnel on the D113 into Spain. Ideally situation on the edge of a small village, yet only 1 km from the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre. Within the Parc Nationale des Pyrenees, an area of outstanding natural beauty with quaint villages perched on hilltops and meandering rivers, there is plenty to see and do.
With beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding foothills, our cottage style French bed and breakfast accomodation is perfect for walking, cycling, visiting Lourdes and Gavarnie or relaxing in the beautiful garden whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
Accommodation
The cottage is decorated in a traditional French country style,
There is a choice of two bedrooms. Bedroom one is on the first floor and has a double bed, seating area and Juliet balcony. Bedroom two is on the second floor with a king-size bed, seating area and en-suite bathroom.
Each bedroom has electric heating, television, tea and coffee making facilities, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, extra blankets and pillows.
Bedroom One
This room is not en-suite, there is a seperate WC right next door to the bedroom, the bathroom is two doors down comprising a shower and basin.
Bedroom Two
The second bedroom is a very large attic room with a king-size bed, seating area, tv, desk and en-suite bathroom comprising shower, wc, basin and bath.
This bedroom has views toward the Pic de Midi
The Lounge & Dining Area
The open plan lounge and dining room includes a traditional open fire for those cold winter evenings, there are also electric heaters in every room.
Breakfast
Breakfast can be served in your room or in the dining room. In the summer you might like to enjoy your breakfast in the court-yard or garden. You can choose to have continental breakfast consisting of croissants, home-baked bread, home-made confiture, fruit juice and fresh brewed coffee/tea. Alternatively you might like to try our chicken's fresh laid eggs instead of the croissants.
The Garden
Through a court yard at the rear of the property there is a large orchard garden with fruit trees and a marquee with seating area.
